Smith Toothpick Holders

Bottoms of Smith Holders

Smith and Wright Holders
It can be difficult to distinguish the L.E. Smith toothpick holders from the L. G. Wright toothpick holders. The earlier Smith toothpick holders were made with flat bottom, and later changed to a scalloped bottom. Some of the Smith scalloped bottom holders also has a starburst pattern in the bottom. The Wright toothpick holders were only made with the flat bottom. However the stars are smaller in the Wright toothpick holder than in the Smith. Also, the Smith cigarette holders were made with both style of bottoms but the tops were flat, not scalloped.
